I had a great time at Candy Dance. I met many followers and new readers and talked about ghost towns for two days. Alan is an avid follower and was unable to attend. However, his sweet wife wanted a picture to show she had met me; it was the weekend's highlight. Stan and I hardly had time to sit down; we were non-stop selling, especially on Saturday. So, I did a thing this weekend. We weren't planning on trading out my daily driver until next year. We talked about trading the Enclave for an SUV that handled easier off-road trips and didn't get beat up on the ranch. Also, something I can explore in without getting 12 mpg. On the way home from a Labor Day trip up Jumbo Grade, I decided to look for the ghost town of Johntown. I learned that the obscure town was Nevada's first mining camp which also became Nevada's first ghost town.
