Sunday, Edel and I followed the western Nevada portion of the Pony Express route: Woodfords (CA), Van Sickle, Walley's Hot Springs, Genoa, Carson City, Dayton ending at Miller's/Reed's. Since Eagles & Ag was rescheduled, Edel and I held our own tour and found 20 bald eagles within a mile of our ranch. The Great Horned Owls are Margaret & Winston, our mated pair. We found a barn owl hunting which unusual for daytime, it must have been hungry after the storms. With snow and mud, ghost towns were out.
