Another beautiful day in Death Valley. It was perfect weather, 70 and sunny.
We started our day at the Visitor Center learning about the history, geology, mining and culture of Death Valley. I talked with one of the rangers about damage I found at a mine shaft. I sent them pictures and the location so they can get it repaired before someone is hurt in an unsafe mine.
After two days of big drives, we took it easier. We drove to Zabriskie Point and Dantes View, both beautiful vantages of Death Valley.
We drove to Death Valley Junction to see Armagosa Opera House. I wish I had looked earlier and seen they do tours, the inside looks amazing from pictures. I read they are re-opening in February.
In the afternoon, we met with an educational ranger for a tour at Harmony Borax Works.
My mom took me to dinner at the Inn. It was a great way to end our mini vacation.
