NEVADA GHOST TOWNS & BEYOND

Thursday was my favorite day of vacation as the entire family decided to join me. Our day started at a somber location, Mountain Meadows. I think my family drew sticks to see who would accompany me each day on my explorations. My son won, or was it lost, the day I went to Leeds. Silver Reef is a great ghost town off I15. They have a nice museum in a Wells Fargo building along with multiple other structures. In 1866 a Nevada prospector discovered silver, the only location in the US where silver was found in sandstone. The shirt says it all. Sadly, one of those things is missing and my garage looks lonely. I took Honey Badger to the shop for a recall and what I thought was a stuck heater knob. No such luck, she has a crack in the radiator. It’s taking longer to repair as it’s under warranty. I’m sad not to have her this weekend but thankful I didn’t have an issue in the middle of nowhere.
