Sweet Treat

August 17, 2021 Leave a Comment

Saturday was a nice ride through Brunswick Canyon. No ghost towns but there were mines I can hike to when it's cooler. We had 20+ vehicles and I met great people. We ended our day at Sno Flow in Carson City, a fun treat on a hot day. Friday I found treasures at a book store that was closing. Between hubby and me, we left with a huge box of books, many signed. My favorite book is "What a ... VIEW POST

A few travelers stop and visit the mill, but many don't realize the ghost town of Pigeon Spring is several miles past the ranch down a beautiful valley. Green Mountain Mining District Pigeon Spring was named for the rock dove found at the spring situated at the north end of Sylvania Mountains. In 1870, A prospector named ... VIEW POST

Travel Update: Full Post to Follow Saturday was an amazing 15 hour day lead by Stan Paher and trail guide, author Jerry Aaron. 11 modified Rubicons make for a fun trip! This was Stan's scouting trip for a class he teaches at the college. He kept us on a tight schedule so we didn't have much time at each site but we saw so many cool locations: Seven Troughs, Tunnel Camp, Mazuma, Rochester, ... VIEW POST
