Hubby said it's official, I'm a geek. My belated birthday present came yesterday, Mavic 2 drone. I have never been a techie, gamer or remote controller and was worried I would crash the first time. I was surprised how easy it was to figure out the basics. Many ghost towns are difficult to photograph from the ground, you can't get the scope and vantage point. Terrain and foliage has changed ... Pioneer Cemetery: Carson City, Nevada

Pioneer Cemetery is the original graveyard in Carson City. Many graves were moved, but a lone few remain. The most notable is Major Ormsby, for whom the county was named. A few graves remain, including the first Nevada law enforcement officer to loose his life in the line of duty. Ghost Towning I never know where the inspiration for my next trip will strike. For two months our area was blanketed with smoke from the Caldor, Tamarack and Dixie Fires. We barely saw the sun or mountains and our life was sepia toned. Other then darting from indoor filtered air to indoor filtered air I barely stepped foot outside. Once the smoke lightened I was anxious to go anywhere.
