Candy Dance 2022

September 26, 2022 2 Comments

I had a great time at Candy Dance. I met many followers and new readers and talked about ghost towns for two days. Alan is an avid follower and was unable to attend. However, his sweet wife wanted a picture to show she had met me; it was the weekend's highlight. Stan and I hardly had time to sit down; we were non-stop selling, especially on Saturday. I was exhausted at the end of each day. ... VIEW POST

Rainbow & Candy Dance

September 23, 2022 Leave a Comment

If you are at Candy Dance in Genoa, say hi to me. Better yet, meet Stan Paher! I will be helping Stan Saturday and Sunday. The booth is by the regular bathrooms at Mormon Station. Stan has a great collection of Nevada history books and is happy to sign them. I am so glad I looked outside when I did. My little one was home sick for a week, so I had been sleeping in and missed a gorgeous ... VIEW POST

Even though nothing remains, Johntown was once home to the movers and shakers of the Comstock. While the town is forgotten by many, it played a vital role in the Comstock Lode. Gold ... VIEW POST

9-11 Remembrance Ride

September 11, 2022 1 Comment

On Sunday, I attended the September 11th Ride to Remember Convoy hosted by Nevada Jeep Club. The organizers did a fantastic job organizing day-long events to honor those who lost their lives. The day started with a rally at the Carson City Airport. Some of the ladies from my Ghost Towns & Treats trip attended. Unplanned, our Jeeps were red, white, and blue. The Carson City fire ...
