Walley's Hot Springs Wednesday, my mom gave me my Mother's Day gift, a day at Genoa's historic hot springs and lunch. Emigrants described the hot springs in their diaries. The resort was developed in 1862 by David and Harriet Wally and included 11 hot tubs, a ballroom, and gardens. The historic hot tub regulates the pool but isn't used as it is 130 degrees. Jumbo Toll Road My weekend started early, and Friday, I headed out with friends Mary and Justin and new friends Tom and his family. Parts of the old Jumbo Toll Road were outstanding. Pritchard's Station was a stop on the toll road between Eureka, Tybo, and Belmont from the 1870s to 1880s. Pritchard started as a 49er and became one of the largest freighters in the country.
