Rescue of Wild Horse Colt

Wild horse rescue mission after “Colt” decided Honey Badger and I were momma. (video below) Colt's band and real momma were running in the distance and ditched him. Nevada Insane Asylum & the desecrated cemetery

The Nevada Insane Asylum opened in 1881 to care for Nevadans who were unable to care for themselves. Funding and staffing issues plagued the hospital, causing patients to be lost in the system. For almost 70 years, patients who died were buried on hospital grounds. With the abolishment of hospital cemeteries, the graveyard was forgotten. Escaping the heat

I was fortunate to escape the heat this week. Tuesday, I took out my friend Mike for his birthday. We hiked to Snowshoe Thompson's cave and followed the Carson River Route of the emigrant trail. The trip allowed me to survey any damage from the heavy winter. Wednesday, I met my friend Bo from Tybo, who was working at Caples Lake.
