This is a new one for me! I’ve had tenants leave a lot of stuff when they move out. Trash, yard art, even animals. In 13 years of having 2 rentals, no one ever left a wine cellar fully stocked! Over 50 bottles of wine, mostly vintage red. New, they average $40 a bottle, no idea the value now. Most are from small wineries in Amador County. I had no idea if they are drinkable. The Kid has moved to Mesquite! He wanted me there a little but otherwise politely asked me to go away. As no hotels were available in Mesquite, I stayed in St. George. Oh, darned, too bad that I happen to love St. George! Most of my time was in meetings and running errands for supplies he forgot to pack. The Extraterrestrial Highway. Officially, Nevada State Route 375, the isolated highway, is a 98-mile stretch between Warm Springs and Crystal Springs. The Kid is 21!
Happy 21st birthday to The Kid! He chose one of my favorites for dinner, the 1859 Gold Hill Hotel. Dinner was amazing as always. I had the Miner's Tri-Tip and bacon-wrapped shrimp.
