Looks like I have competition for Honey Badger, Edel decided she wants to drive! I felt bad she hasn’t been out lately so we went for a drive and through the car wash. The bugs I ran into around Walker lake were horrible, they sounded like hail hitting the windshield and are sticking like glue.
It has been a productive week, I have been focusing on towns from my last trip. While the lack of information has been frustrating, it has also been fun to stretch my mind and research abilities.
Oregon California Trails Association: News from the Plains
I received a copy of my first published article. The Oregon California Trails Association used Maiden’s Grave in News from the Plains. I’m flattered that such an organization like my articles and wants more.
I took my friend for her birthday lunch to Woodfords by the Pony Express Station. Mad Dog Café is always a treat.
I am scheduling this post as I am starting the weekend early tomorrow. I am hitching a ride with a friend in his RZR and headed up Mt. Patterson to visit a few ghost towns. It will be a fun day and nice to get out of the heat.
