On the way home from a great four days girl ghost town trip. I had to stop and recover from the drive before I make the final push home. I would take off roading any day over driving a Wrangler on a 2 lane highway with high winds and crazy gusts putting me on the downwind side of swerving semis. Dixie Valley is a one-of-a-kind Nevada ghost town. Instead of being abandoned when miners moved on to the next strike, the valley became a ghost town when the US Navy acquired it as part of their training range. It was a pretty crummy weekend and I was still worn out from our vacation. So what did I do? Planed my girl trip of course! I plotted what I want to see on the drive between Schurz and Tonopah.
