Lakeview

May 9, 2022 16 Comments

For twenty-two years, I have driven over the hill between Washoe and Eagle Valleys and admired the off-white and green-trimmed house. I probably drove past a thousand times without realizing Lakeview was a small ghost town that played a significant role in Virginia City and the Virginia & Truckee Railroad. We will be Jeeping up Jumbo Grade and visiting petroglyphs, and historic station stops. They have the same Jeep model, and Justin is a great off-road driver; I always like to follow in his tracks and ... VIEW POST

May 2, 2022 Leave a Comment

Twelve hours later, I was leaving again, but this time in hiking clothes, boots, with a backpack. The fundraiser, Bark & Wine was fun, and I met great people and the sweetest group of sisters. It reminded me ... VIEW POST
