Angel’s Ladies

May 23, 2023 6 Comments

Unusual finds dot Nevada's roadsides: UFOs hanging from the back of a tow truck, gigantic memorials built from trash, and a downed airplane in front of Angel's Ladies brothel. Upon first seeing the abandoned plane, I thought it might have been a publicity stunt; little did I realize how big of a stunt it was. North of Beatty, a Beechcraft C-45 sits on the side of the highway at a 45-degree ... VIEW POST

They also have historical photographs and mining equipment from Nevada mines. The museum is free, as it has been since 1908, and is a great ... VIEW POST

A simple square granite headstone marks her final resting place.   "Mary Elizabeth Madison known as Panniment Anne, ... VIEW POST

May 9, 2023 10 Comments

Travelers fill the hotel rooms at night but leave early the next day to continue their journey between northern and southern Nevada, or head into Death Valley National Park. Some visit the spectacular ghost town of Rhyolite, but otherwise, few explore the ... VIEW POST
