Jamison's Station was the first settlement in Truckee Meadows, started in 1852 to provide supplies for wagon trains headed to the Gold Country. Unfortunately, information is sparse and conflicting regarding the location; was Jamison's Station located on the Truckee River or farther west into the meadows? A Weekend of Training

This weekend was all about training: firearms and vehicle recovery. Firearms Training Saturday was firearms training. I went through around 300 rounds, mainly CZ 75. This put me at 800 rounds in two weeks. Three more weeks until I head to Thunder Ranch. I learned to use the magazine reloader and clean the guns. I love my new eye and ear protection from Scheels. I'm impressed I remember that word! Dichotomous: a contrast between two things. I had to look it up to verify I remembered correctly;) I spent this weekend on two very different, dichotomous activities: firearms training and touring this historic Nevada state prison.
