Honey Badger’s First Recovery

November 12, 2023 2 Comments

Honey Badger and I had our first recovery today with 775 Off Road Recovery (775 OFR). I was at home finishing the article on Bullionville and doing fun stuff like laundry and dishes. I pulled out ingredients for dinner: sauteed peppers, onions and ham quiche. I received a text about a stranded vehicle in Smith Valley, about 45 minutes away. I checked with the group and saw no one responded, ... VIEW POST

Red wine roulette

November 12, 2023 Leave a Comment

This is a new one for me! I’ve had tenants leave a lot of stuff when they move out. Trash, yard art, even animals. In 13 years of having 2 rentals, no one ever left a wine cellar fully stocked! But I got to visit ghost towns in both Utah and Nevada and learned about flying monkeys! ... VIEW POST

It runs along the infamous "Area 51," the US Air Force facility in the Nevada Test and Training Range. I'm back from moving my son to Mesquite. It is about a 10-hour drive with stops. I opted to take the ET highway in both directions while ... VIEW POST

Great Nevada Photo Hunt 2023

November 5, 2023 Leave a Comment

Thank you, Nevada Magazine, for choosing Honey Badger's photo as the winner of the Great Nevada Photo Hunt cell phone category. I didn't place in the ghost town category, but I was pleased about Rick Pott's win with his gorgeous photo of Potts Ranch, which I visited on my birthday trip. This morning, I received an amazing email: Travel Nevada purchased the license for the photo to use ... VIEW POST
