Nevada Ghost Towns & Beyond

I'm back from my last big trip of the year (unless something else comes up, which is always seems to do). Friday, I started in Mammoth, hitting some spots on my wish list and waiting for Nevada Expeditions to get off work and catch up. Late in the day, I headed to Inyo County for two days of exploration. It wasn't fun, but I got a lot done this weekend. At the Genoa Cemetery, I had an extra set of flowers, so I marked Bill Zirn's grave. The headstone was cut from the boulder that ended Bill's life in 1896. You can read about Zirnville & the Deadly Headstone if you missed the story. Nevada's history is most often explored in the isolated desert. Lunch is often a snack tray or MRE on Honey Badger's hood. When I'm fortunate, it is a burger at Middlegate or Mina Burger.
