Travel update: Full articles to follow
I had a few free hours Friday, so I headed out with Great Basin Exploring and Nevada Expeditions. We had a mini ghost town mini trip around Dayton: Eldorado Canyon kilns, Rock Point mill, Daney Mine and Mill, Rock Point Mill, and Summit Station. We also saw Sutro from a distance. We did a lot in 4 hours!
Eldorado Canyon Kilns
Rock Point Mill
Daney Mill
Daney Mill was originally worked in 1859. The unusual mill dates to the early 1900s.
Summit Station/Half-Way House
Summit Station stage stop was active in the 1860s and was named as it was halfway between Virginia City and Carson City.
A few treasures we found along the way
It was a strange day; four hours later, I relaxed by the pool in Sacramento, ordering Uber Eats Korean Food. I would take a sixteen-hour day ghost towning over freeway traffic any day of the week.

So much fun to see the pics and read the history. I will never be able to visit all of these places so it is awesome that I can “visit” these places through you. Thank you
