Diana’s Punchbowl is a geothermal feature in Nye County. It is situated at the geographic center of Nevada in Monitor Valley. It is also referred to as Devil’s Cauldron.
Diana’s Punchbowl is 600 feet in diameter. The water is 30 feet below the edge of the cauldron.
The water ranges from 140 to 180 degrees so Diana’s Punchbowl is not a soaking hot spring. I have been told there are soaking areas on the creek that flows out of the cauldron. There are other usable hot springs in the general area.
Diana’s Punchbowl is a fun place to visit and relax. There are numerous ghost towns in the area, including Belmont. Nearby is also Toquima Cave. People lived in the cave between 1500 and 3000 years ago and pictographs (cave drawings) decorate the cave walls.
Hubby and I visited Diana’s Punchbowl while staying in Belmont on a ghost town vacation. The images are pictures of film photos that have not stood the test of time.

I hope someone answered me, but I am wanting to go to Diana’s punch bowl next week and it’s just been a big winter. How will my all wheel drive van do on that road to the punch bowl?
Tami says
I haven’t been there in many years. When we went, we had an Explorer and the road was really good. With this winter, roads all over Nevada has been terrible. You could check with the BLM office.
