I am sticking close to the ranch this weekend. Fire crews have done an amazing job and gained 29% containment of the Caldor Fire but our area is still under evacuation watch.
First pictures are Thursday at 5:45 pm. If you follow the ridge line to the left, that is where the fire is closest to us. The third picture is an overview of the fire Thursday morning. The last pictures are of town this week at 7pm.
Honey Badger is coming home today. I can’t remember the part, but the reason it kept stalling on Mt. Patterson had to do with not maintaining oil pressure. She is all better now, and the mechanic is getting me a quote on a lift, suspension and new tires. 🤫
It has been a good week for research and writing, I have four articles for my in-house publishers to approve. I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing Labor Day weekend. I’m looking forward to cooler weather and getting out again. Thank you everyone who reached out with thoughts and support during this time.
