Busy, busy weekend! Saturday was Eagles & Agriculture, I hosted 3 eagle tours and 2 groups at our ranch for the Owl Prowl. I talked about the emigrant trails, Pony Express and Comstock Lode. The morning was super cold and the roads were sheets of ice, but Jeep girls arrived on time! I spotted a bald eagle for the eagle tour, but my owls all took the day off
. I suspect they were hungry after the wind storm and went hunting. Thanks Shonna for helping.
Sunday I retraced last weekends route. Last weekend was dreary and grey and the photos didn’t do the story justice. The sky cooperated and the photos were worth the second trip. As a bonus I saw several golden eagles. I stopped at 2 Overland Stage stations on the way home, Stockton and Desert Well.
