Nevada’s history is most often explored in the isolated desert. Lunch is often a snack tray or MRE on Honey Badger’s hood. When I’m fortunate, it is a burger at Middlegate or Mina Burger. Don’t get me wrong, I love both of those. Sometimes, exploring is a very different experience.
This week, my history group, Neversweats, met at the beautiful Thunderbird Lodge at Lake Tahoe. Kim Harris, phenomenal Chautauqua and her husband chauffeured me to our destination. Thunderbird’s private chefs created a special lunch to celebrate their recent wedding.
A girl could get spoiled! The best part was I got access to sites no on the usual tour.
