Dirty Girl Jeep Club asked me to be Trail Boss for a fall run. What better than a ghost town trip on Friday the 13th? I didn’t get a lot of photos, but we had a great trip.
We met at Maverick, gassed up, grabbed goodies and talked Jeeps.
After reconvening in Bridgeport, we briefly stopped at the Shell station to grab more goodies. And a potty stop; it is a ladies’ group, after all.
We took Highway 395, turned off at Green Creek Road, and aired down.
The drive got prettier the farther we went.
My good friend Kris pre-ran the trip, rode shotgun and handled communications. The day was so much more fun with her riding with me.
We stopped at Dunderberg, but Ward Mining Camp was the big stop of the day.
We recreated a photo of Ward from over 100 years ago.
