Wild horse rescue mission after “Colt” decided Honey Badger and I were momma. (video below)

Colt’s band and real momma were running in the distance and ditched him. He saw our “herd” of Jeeps from a ridge over and ran to us. For some reason, he imprinted on me and my Jeep.

He wouldn’t leave me and would lean and rub against the Jeep. I tried moving away and chasing him off so his family could come to get him but he always came to me.

I didn’t interact, touch or feed him. After debating our options, I “walked” him a mile down the hill and left him where his band had been, and there was lots of evidence of horses.

I hope he is ok; he was such a sweetie.
This isn’t a debate about wild/feral horses, just our group trying to return a baby to its momma.
