I had a great time at Candy Dance. I met many followers and new readers and talked about ghost towns for two days. Alan is an avid follower and was unable to attend. However, his sweet wife wanted a picture to show she had met me; it was the weekend’s highlight.
Stan and I hardly had time to sit down; we were non-stop selling, especially on Saturday. I was exhausted at the end of each day. Saturday, dinner ended up being kettle corn relaxing on my porch and reading my new purchases. Stan has been teasing me for a year about Hugh Shamberger’s book on Candelaria. Every time we talk, he says he sold it to someone else. This weekend he snuck it under other books for me to find.
Stan said I was a great salesperson, and he sold over double the Nevada Ghost Mining Camps as usual. I would have sold more, but we ran out.
I am preparing for the last planned big ghost town trip of the year. I hope to sneak in one more trip before the snow flies. I also have a trip to train at Thunder Ranch with Clint Smith.

Tami,
It was a highlight for me as well that my wife got to meet you and have her picture taken with you!
I’m sure I’m echoing the appreciation of many others who look forward to your weekly posts, and who else, due to physical limitations can still see and experience historical sites and learn about their stories through your eyes and words.
Thank you so much for sharing,
Alan G

It was so lovely to meet her and sweet that she went out of her way to send you photos.
Others being able to explore through my travels is one of the best compliments. My son has cerebral palsy, which makes it difficult for him to get around.
