I am excited to share details on the Trails West Annual Conference. It will be held in Carson Valley from May 16th through 18th.
Tuesday, I will present the Carson Emigrant Trail and ghost towns. Monday and Wednesday, I will co-lead trips following the emigrant route, including Snowshoe Thompson’s cave, emigrant markings, Odd Fellows Rocks, wagon markings, etc.
Trails West is a great group; they are the group that had emigrant trails with railroad tie markers.
I have to make an unplanned overnight trip to Shriner’s next week. I hope to hit a few more Pony Express stations along the way. I started compiling my visits at California Pony Express Stations.
I am finishing posts on St. Thomas and Lost City; they should be on the website this weekend. Enjoy the beautiful spring weather!
