It has been strange transitioning from a week of ghost towning to routine life. After eight days of seeing only a handful of people, I came home to heavy traffic, busy stores, several parties and my son's graduation. Back where I began my trip. The Mizpah has begun to feel like a second home. It has been an amazing week. Seven days, hundreds of miles and 37 sites: Ghost towns, mines, kilns, Petroglyphs, ranches plus spending time with a Nye county historical author. The week was emotional in many ways. I drove out to get a signal and check in at home. I thought I’d share some pictures of my current trip instead of a post. Tuesday was our “easy” day, 8.5 hours and 105 miles. The closest we got to a paved road was probably 10 miles. It’s a good thing the day was easy after our “1/4 mile hike” to an awesome mill and astra. Someone is cleaned up and ready to get dirty! I'm off for a week long Guys Ghost Town Trip in central Nevada. Tomorrow I will be exploring with the Godfather of Ghost Towns himself, Stan Paher then off to Tybo and Goldfield.
