Geeking Out!

October 1, 2021 2 Comments

NVTami flying drone
It was so cold, I loved it!

Hubby said it’s official, I’m a geek. My belated birthday present came yesterday, Mavic 2 drone. I have never been a techie, gamer or remote controller and was worried I would crash the first time. I was surprised how easy it was to figure out the basics.

Many ghost towns are difficult to photograph from the ground, you can’t get the scope and vantage point. Terrain and foliage has changed over the century making then & now photos difficult. For example in the photo below of Pine Grove the hill to photographer stood on is gone, without 20 foot arms I couldn’t get the same angle.

The drone will take Nevada Ghost Towns & Beyond to the next level.

Pine Grove

I’m going out with a friend this weekend who has the same drone. I’m excited to hopefully catch colors like last fall. We have some cool places planned to fly the drones .

It’s fall and we have blue skies again! The temperatures are cooler and yes of all the mosquitoes are gone for the season.

Thank you, I’m glad you enjoy my articles.
I got a replacement for my drone after the original one became part of history. Oops.
