It was fun to watch the Pony Express riders and a mailbag handoff at Woodfords, CA. I took photos a few places along the route but had to leave before they reached Genoa. For the occasion, I traded out my usual ball cap for my beaten up cowboy hat.
Today they are crossing central Nevada, you can track their route on the National Pony Express website.
I’m hoping I can talk hubby into a drive this weekend in the SUV, Honey Badger needs a little alignment TLC after my trip. It is crazy hot and I would like to head into the eastern Sierras. Sunday I will be grilling for Father’s Day.
