Pony Express fans, I am updating the Pony Express page and want your opinion.
1. Would you prefer stations listed alphabetically or in route order?
2. Do you want a list of all stations in Nevada and California or only those I have visited? (I may have the makings on a road trip bouncing around my mind
).
3. Do you want stations with limited documentation or only commonly accepted stations? *
Thank you in advance! I think the new look of the website will make it easier to navigate and located what you are interested in.
*Pony Express information is often not well documented. My theory is the Pony Express operated for a limited time and was not seen as anything special. Routes and stations changed as the situation warranted: Indian Wars, barns burned, wells dried up, better routes were found. Some stations including Woodfords, operated for only a few weeks. I document references or limited information in my articles.
