Since Eagles & Ag was rescheduled, Edel and I held our own tour and found 20 bald eagles within a mile of our ranch. The Great Horned Owls are Margaret & Winston, our mated pair. We found a barn owl hunting which unusual for daytime, it must have been hungry after the storms.

With snow and mud, ghost towns were out. I’m disappointed there is no access so I can snowshoe to Snowshoe’s Cave. We did get some nice weather and time to relax outside, I spent it enjoying a glass of wine while reading local author, Karen Dustman’s, historical books.

I reorganized the book shelves, once again. New additions are mostly trail guides. I “shopped” Stan Paher’s online book store and have a few more to add to the collection when I next see Stan.😉

If weather cooperates, next weekend I will be venturing out with friends to Mineral County. I hope to visit some ghost towns and petroglyphs, but more important, have a hamburger and shake at Socorro’s Burger Hut!
