Another fun weekend in The Easteen Sierras. Munckton with the Dunburg Mill, Jordan and a brief stop at Dog Town.

The views were spectacular but very little was left of the ruins. The stories are amazing though.

Jordan was a power station town hit by an avalanche in 1911, the same year as the Mono Mill avalanches. Eight people lost their lives but a woman and her dog survived.

Munckton is a little known town outside of Bodie. I started looking for the 10 stamp mill that was moved to Bodie. My amazing friend and author of all things eastern Sierra, Karen Dustman, told me the mill was originally Lord Chalmers from Silver Mountain City! What a small world. Guess I have some more research and trips to plan!
